Mellow Yellow Monday - Yellow Tulip

A surprise yellow tulip has sprung up in my garden. I know I planted it but darned if I remember when.

And I think the chickens or slugs must have made quick work of it in the past because this is the first time I've seen it.

Weird.

Gorgeous tulip, delightful color! Our neighbor across the street has red ones and they are ignoring our junky weather and blooming like crazy! Sure am glad, it is one bright spot in our gray, gray days!! Have a great week!

That is the most beautiful shade of yellow that I think I have ever seen on a tulip. And your photo was great!

I'm glad you have a spot of tulip color to brighten your day, Sylvia. I'm so sorry for your continuing bad weather. Today the sun came out and I am basking in it, for as long as it will last. have a good week!

Thank you so much Sage Butterfly. It sure was a surprise to me!

A tulip dripping with dew--or is it raindrops? Either way, it's gorgeous!

SPLASH OF YELLOW

Splash of yellow,
Dash of gold,
Make me mellow,
Never old;
Keep my humor
In fine trim,
Always laughing,
Never grim.

Bright yellow bloom damp with dew or is it rain? A few drops of rain here in the Sacramento Valley today.
Most of my tulips went to rabbits this year.

Hello MMT and Martha. The water on the tulip came from the raindrops that fell all night long and ceased sometime in the early morning. They sure make for beautiful photos. Thanks for stopping by, both of you. And, MMT, I love that poem! Thank you!
