Hard as it may be to believe from this sunny autumnal photo, there is snow on the ground just 3-feet away.
Still, this sweet vignette is what greets folks as they approach my front door.
Had to capture the shadow on this cold, cold day.

A wonderful shadow shot for the day, Christine!! Great to see you on board with us other "shadow lovers"!! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!
I would love to be welcomed by St. Francis--and the shadows! (Why no links in comments?)
I love this! It's not too late to use pumpkins in outdoor decorating - I keep them around for months. The birds love them.

Thank you Sylvia. I hope to make the shadow shot rounds later today.
Hi MMT - I'm glad you asked that question and will change the wording to mean that I will delete embedded solicitation links. I get a lot of them. However, shadow shot links are welcome and I should have made that clear. Thanks Teach! :-)
Hi Mimi. I agree and will keep the pumpkins until they begin to break down. Then I toss them near the compost pods for whomever wishes to snack on them.
I like your st. francis fountain and the shadows. :-)
It's a beautiful composition you have created to grace your front door!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thanks Paz! I sure am enjoying your renewed photo blog.
Anna Maria, How wonderful to hear from you! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year back to you!!
