A Study in Yellow

Pin It Spring is often synonymous with
the color pink but if you look closely,
there is yellow everywhere.

Gertrude and the Spider

I caught this "chameleon" spider blushing pink on
a Gertrude Jekyll rosebud. Over the next few days
as the rose continued to open, the spider seemed
to have taken up permanent residence.
Or as much permanence as a rose can give.

Welcome to Raven Ridge Garden

Here you will find botanical photos from my morning journeys around our acreage. My daily sojourn is usually accompanied by the constant "talking" of my lovely Arab mare, who wishes she could join in the fun, my dogs, who dog my path and sometimes get caught in the camera, our two curious "outdoor" cats and a hot cup of coffee.
