Spring in My Garden - Pregnant Hellebore

Now this is what I call being really pregnant.

You can see earlier photos of these beguiling nymphettes here, here, and here, when they were young, quite beautiful, and by no means innocent.

I consider this phase exquisite

Beautiful! I have never thought of a pregnant Hellebore as being such, but of course! It fits perfectly. Thanks for giving me a new view of something ordinary.

Hi Sylvia and Mickie! The weekend turned rainy again but at least everything is green. :)

Neither did I, Genevieve, until I took a good look at this one and the light bulb went on. :D

WOW ! that is one gorgeous picture of a beautiful pregnant hellebore !
My older "Orientalis" Christmas Rose .. that was all that was on the tag of my very first hellebore .. well it has looked a little like that but I had no idea pregnancy was it's state of play ? haha
My spotty one has me in shock .. I think the original name was London Fog which is so NOT this .. well, we know mis labeled plants are common don't we ? LOL

Thanks Joy. I never thought to label these seed-laden gals pregnant before either. But how can they not be? Enjoy your week!
