Kale

Morning dew on Kale
Each drop of dew clings to a small dip in the edge of the kale leaf. I just love how this happens.

After two days of rain the sun is shining again and the temps are up in the 60s. (My husband points out that there are not many places in the US in summer where one can say that.)  My vegetable garden is growing - slowly; baby zucchini are stretching toward the sun. If we were in warmer climes, the zucchini would grow multiple inches daily but here, we measure their growth by quarter and half-inches.

This is the kind of weather that kale, chard and lettuce love. Not so much squashes and tomatoes, but I don't stop trying.

You have so many wonderful things growing in your garden. And it's in the 60s? I'm moving there! To your garden, I mean. Did you ever get the chickens? Perhaps, I can sleep in their coop with them.... Perhaps not. I don't think that's a good idea but I think I can find some place to lay my head. There's be plenty of good food growing there. Please, just don't take a photo of me, especially when I'm sleeping, and post it here. Thankyouverymuch.

Thank you Sylvia. I am enjoying being back in the swing of things.

Hello Maki. Yes, crystals are just what I think of when I see these little droplets of water.

Hello my friend Paz. It's so nice to hear from you. My dear, you may come live in/near my garden whenever you would like. I have a cozy greenhouse or a yurt (ger) for your close-to-nature living enjoyment and I promise to not take photos of you sleeping. :)
Yes, we have chickens who lay 4 to 6 eggs every day. You can't get fresher than that. xoxoxo
