Dew Drops on Dicentra

Dicentra formosa grows in my garden in shady, moist places amid tiny violets, ferns, and mosses.  Its ability to gather and hold dew drops not only in the leaf centers but on all its edges also is a constant delight.

These photos are my offering to Macro Monday 2
where you will find macro photos from all over the globe.

Dew Drops on Dicentra

Growing low among violets, ferns, and mosses on the shaded east side of the house, Dicentra formosa, which is a native to my area of coastal far north California, catches water droplets with ease, making for a showy macro photo.

Quite the show off.

There are more macro photography shots to be viewed at Macro Monday 2.

Canterbury Bells

No, this is not blooming in my garden at the moment, but it does come summer.  These winter days I have to reach back into my archives to find colorful photos.  And although today is (finally) sunny, very few flowers and foliage are photo-worthy.

I am linking this post to Macro Monday 2 where you can find more 'up close and personal' photos.

And also to Blue Monday, a lovely blog all dressed up in blues.
