Japanese Maple and Clematis

Fall colors are ablaze these days on Raven Ridge; from pure yellows to orange, copper and fiery red.
This vignette is comprised of Japanese maple and a white-blooming clematis - a little shy of flowers but quite a prolific grower. I cut it back several times during the summer to keep it from completely engulfing the dwarf maple tree.

Me too, Paz. These are tucked into a corner of my yard that is not readily seen, so when I come across them, it's always a new delight. Have a good week!

Gorgeous colors!

Thank you Simona. Things change so quickly in the fall; now all the leaves have dropped from the little maple, leaving the vigorous clematis draped around and through bare branches.

I love this combination Christine!
That blend of green "life" clinging to such a brilliant red .. my Japanese maples go that colour in Spring and Autumn .. they are gorgeous "foils" for other plants aren't they ?
