Shadow Shot Sunday - Spider on Daisy

Pin It

Shadows are often cast in the details of a photo only noticed after the shot is taken and then viewed with a more critical eye in one's photo software.  Here, I was just trying to get the spider to hold still enough for me to take a clear photo. The spider was not cooperating.  But the shadows were a nice surprise.

Take a look at more shadow shots at Tracy's blog, Hey Harriet.

A stunning photo with many cameo shadows! I don't think that I have ever seen a white spider!

What a fantastic capture, Christine! I've never seen a white spider either! Such a lovely variety of shadows, too! Hope you're feeling better and that you've had a good weekend!

Ewww! That would have to be one of the oddest looking spiders I have ever seen! Spiders freak me out and so I'm impressed by your bravery! It's a great photo too!

The spider is a delicious little morsel in this captivating photo!

SHADOW DANCE

Shadows here and shadows there,
Shadows, shadows everywhere!
Shadows left and shadows right;
Shadows dancing through the night!
Shadows crouching on the wall;
Shadows spring and shadows fall
On the unsuspecting guest,
Who thought shadows offered rest!

I see that the euwww!-factor is pretty unanimous here.
These spiders populate my garden and eat all kinds of insects, some beneficial, some not. I call them chameleon spiders because they change colors according to the color of the flower or leaf or twig that they are inhabiting. Since this one was on a white daisy, it was all while. I've seen them green, pink, red, brown and yellow.
Yes, they do look scary, but mostly they just try to get away from my camera lens.
Thanks for all your comments. I'm making my way around this morning and will visit you soon.
Happy Sunday! (Monday to you, Harriet and Gemma.)
