Shadow Shot Sunday - Morning Sun and Shadow

A serendipitous shot, to be sure, as I was focused on the water droplets clinging to the rose leaf in early dawn shade and not to the rising sun and how it would light up the leaf in an instant, a stem casting a horizontal shadow from behind.

Visit Tracy at Hey Harriet this Sunday for intriguing shadow shots from around the globe.

Wow, what a shot, with or without the shadow! almost defying gravity - those droplets look like little crystal globes.

What an incredible, gorgeous capture for the day, Christine! The droplets of water are like jewels, a necklace for the leaf! Superb! Hope you have a lovely weekend!

I love "a necklace for the leaf" Sylvia! Nice turn of phrase; thank you!

I've been visiting your lovely home and garden, Anna Maria, and your sweet dog Ciccio Bello. You are living a charmed life, I think. :)

Don't you just love the luck of serendipity?

I can feel the vibrancy of Stockholm through your photos!

SHADOW, BE TRUE

My shadow has come out to play.
Oh, shadow, please don’t run away!
Stay here by my side,
Pretend you’re my bride—
Be true to me now and alway!

I am so loooong overdue for a visit here. That photo is fabulous! Shadows and substance, the intricate veins of the leaf, the perfectly formed droplets. It's all there. Wonderful job!
