Hellebore, or Lenten Rose, grows in an often overlooked planter box just off the back deck. I can go all winter long without looking in that box; then something beckons me and there it is, those lovely blooms defying winter with all their mighty might.

A superb plant. And yours has freckles-so pretty. P.S. Glad you liked my heart yesterday.
They are beautiful plants, one of my favourites. I'm waiting for mine to open fully but they seem to be taking a long time.
Interesting-looking flower, interesting-looking name.
Paz
Thanks so much, Tina, Easy Gardener and my friend Paz!
