Rocks gathered on the beach at the False Klamath Cove offer up striking shadows from a setting sun.

This shot is definitly other-worldly...like a moonscape. I am so jealous of beach shots, soon I will have refections like this on a snow bank...yuck!!!

These are striking shadows indeed! A very cool & creative shot! I've never seen such long shadows cast from rocks before. Nicely captured!

With regards to the posting time of your shadow shot, it's fine for you to post on your Sunday. It's also fine to post on my Sunday (which will be your Saturday). Whatever works best for you is totally cool. Most people tend to post early (early being my Sunday). I set the SSS post to publish at Sunday 12am Aussie (Brisbane) time if that is of any help to you. The timezone thing is all a bit confusing ;) have a great week ahead!

Awesome shadow shot!

You asked about my camera? I've written about it in my ABOUT section on my blog. It's a Sony Cybershot. I don't know anything about settings. I just point and shot and hope I get lucky. ;-)

Thanks so much to all of you for your great comments. I appreciate you!

And, hey to you Peter. The blogosphere isn't really that big is it, that you could find me by accident? I checked out your blog. You, my friend, have taken some killer photos. I gotta say that one of my favorites is Skip in the doorway of the yurt. :)

What a stunning pic!
Love the high contrast of the light and shade and those rounded rocks throwing pointy shadows, brilliant!
