After shopping at the farmers market on Saturday mornings, Mr CC and I will often take a walk. Last Saturday was no exception even though it was threatening rain. When we happened upon a garden in full bloom, two photos from which I've already posted, I spent quite a long happy while shooting.
These are commonly called Hens and Chicks. Their botanical name is Sempervivum, which means forever living. You can see the many varieties available by clicking here. Their leaves are full of water from the rain. Click the photos for more detail.
