Spring Garden Series #4 - Azalea With Viburnum

This apricot-yellow Exbury Azalea was planted about 4 years ago but it hasn't put out such a show of blooms until this spring.
And although it may soon get swallowed up by the viburnum, the two of them surely do look good together.

That's a really smashing combo! I'm a pitiful landscaper and the few great combinations i have in my garden were purely accidental... kind of like that old saying about how even a broken clock gives the right time twice a day :o)

Well, I would love to be able to say that I planted those two together to create just the scene that you see here, but I didn't. I should have known that the viburnum would stretch it's branches out and gobble up anything with a 6-foot radius.
Thanks for stopping by, Don. I just went to your blog and will be back when I've got a while to look at all those gorgeous photos.

Lovely flowers Christine, I am going to save this blog separately to your cookery one as I am late in commenting on your photos. Hope your shoulder is feeling much better now?
