I'm not very knowledgeable about Bromeliads. I know that there are many, many varieties, for both indoor and outdoor gardening, but I've never grown one. I've just found out that they are in the same family as pineapples. Who knew?

We have recently been given membership for the National Trust, and I have some photographs of the same plant taken in a garden near us, very striking aren't they.
