A nest of spiders in a tumble of arms and legs creating an almost hair-like illusion is on the porch eaves. I disovered it today and now I'm very aware of it as I walk in and out of the house. Did you know that if you blow on them or disturb them in any way they will bounce up and down on those long legs. It's supposed to make them look ferocious. It's quite fascinating and rather eerie looking. If you're not taking care, they can quite suddenly drop down on top of you. So it's best not to stand directly under them...

Interesting, but bone chilling. I am terrified of spiders. I am sorry to say if they were in my shed, onporch etc. there life span would be short.
I have noticed how they bounce. I blew on one once hoping to make it run off. Instead it did this weird rotating bounce. Scared the heck out of me to say the least.
I have seen spiders vibrate and shake, roll in balls etc. just because of a high pitch scream. My daughter helped me discover that.
Tho I am terrified of them they still amaze me. ... Sorry tho, once I am done looking at them I quickly kill them....
