It was tough finding a good shadow shot this morning with our watery sun trying to peek through the clouds and fog. I tried many shots of different areas around the gardens and then looked here just as the sun pierced both the clouds and the forest to reveal - this.

Very nice and I expect to see an elf or something come through those woods. But my eye is really drawn to the pop of the flower above it.

Your header picture is a stunner .. what type of clematis is that .. at first I thought it was a thalictrum!
We are still knee deep in snow and winter here no matter who says Spring has arrived .. it is a brutal winter that just won't let go.

ReplyDeleteWe think of places like the 'forest', 'woods' and/or 'jungle' to be almost foreboding places where darkness reigns. Yet, deep in any thicket can be brilliant and full of light, such as here. A brilliant day is quite possible in any thicket. A lovely view!
